"This week was one of those that I hope doesn't happen again. I spent much of my week in Hampton at The White House, a community centre YMCA London South West run. On Wednesday a man suddenly died there , he had just popped in to use the toilet and collapsed. He was fairly young, a Christian.and a member of the local church. I and whole staff there were reminded that day of the fragility of life.... Then, on Friday there were the terrible unprovoked stabbings of people at Sainsbury's in Hampton, literally right next to the White House, who share the car park with Sainsbury's. It reminds me that you never know what life will bring, and that nothing is as important in life, as the relationships we build and the people we help. I guess this mirrors our relationship with God, who whilst he loves it when we serve, actually values our time with him more ( see the story of Mary and Martha in Luke 10: 38-42) . We never know how much time we have, let's make the most of it."
