Dedication Service

We are pleased to be a church of all-ages. As a fellowship we believe it is important to help children and adults grow alike in their discovery and experience of faith.

The arrival of a child is one of the most significant moments in a persons life. A dedication service is the opportunity for the parents, family, friends and the church to promise together to raise the child within the love of God.

The Dedication Service will also include a prayer asking for God's blessing upon the child. The dedication normally takes place as part of our Sunday morning worship.

'People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.' Mark 10:13-16
